School funding levels have risen in recent years. However, the proportion of funding available for high needs education has not kept up. I have been campaigning hard for more Government funding, and will continue to apply pressure.
Zac Goldsmith was asked to announce the winners at this year’s Great Mortlake Bake-Off. Amateur bakers of all ages, including local primary school children, were invited to take part in the event at St Mary the Virgin Church in Mortlake.
Fernhill Students from Year 6 visited Parliament throughout the week of the 19th February. They were taken around Parliament by guides and ended with a short film about the Suffragettes, followed by a discussion with Zac Goldsmith MP at the new Education Centre.
On the 15th January 2018 Zac met with Cllr Susan Chappell Head of Children’s services at Richmond Council, Charis Penfold from Achieving for Children, Alex Hardy from RUIL’s and Penny Hoffmann-Becking from the SEND Family Voices to discuss funding for Special Education Needs locally.
On 23rd Nov, Richmond, a graduation ceremony event took place to celebrate the success of unemployed university graduates from differing course backgrounds who are now to begin a career in technology – having completed one of the UK’s most prolific technology graduate programmes, Sparta Global A
