Zac Goldsmith MP joins Friends of Latchmere Recreation for a Bulb Planting

Zac Goldsmith met with 20 volunteers of the Friends of Latchmere Recreation Ground (FOLAR) in Kingston on Friday 2nd November to help them improve the area by planting a range of bulbs.

Zac was joined by Cllr David Cunningham and Cllr Maria Netley, both Conservative Councillors for Tudor Ward, and Ms Gloria Martin, who Chairs FOLAR.

FOLAR have also drawn up a plan detailing the improvements they would like to see at the Recreation Ground, and will present it at their Annual General Meeting later this month.

Cllr David Cunningham said of biodiversity drive: “it is an excellent initiative from FOLAR, it’s good to see community involvement at the Rec.”

Zac said of the visit:

“Congratulations to Gloria for organising yet another great community event on the Rec.  I was very pleased to be able to attend with David and Maria and I look forward to hearing more about FOLAR’s plans to improve biodiversity at the site, as well as their wider plans for the future.”
