On Thursday 6th of September, Zac met with the Thames Landscape Strategy (TLS), a non-profit organisation, whose aim is to promote and conserve the river corridor between Weybridge, Hampton and Kew.
The official unveiling of the new Richmond Hill telescope occurred on Thursday afternoon, in memory of Air Commodore Robin Spaight CBE, culminating with the traditional cutting of the ivy. Zac was joined by, amongst others: Ellen LeCompt, Trustee of Scenic Virginia, Richmond, Virginia, USA; and Pat Spaight, wife of the late Air Cdre Spaight and Volunteer Secretary for TLS.
Zac said: “The TLS is a magnificent organisation, and we are so lucky to benefit from their work over the years. I’m grateful to them and their supporters for raising the funds for the telescope. It is a wonderful new asset for the constituency, and overlooks one of the most famous and protected views in the country.”
