On Monday 1st April, Zac Goldsmith MP visited Darell Primary School to discuss the merits of Space Exploration with year 5 pupils. The pupils had taken the time to write individual letters to their local MP, to express their own views on the issue.
Zac Goldsmith MP visited Barnes Primary school on the 18th of March to discuss climate change following the UK Students Climate Networks recent children's protest at Trafalgar Square, where a record number of pupils went on strike to protest against climate change on Friday 16th March
Zac Goldsmith MP visited the Swedish School in Barnes on Wednesday 13th March where he met with pupils from year three and year five with their teacher Marika Nilsson. Zac spoke to the students about current affairs and his recent environmental successes on ocean protection.
The Department for Education has announced its approval for a new free school in Barnes for children with special educational needs, following calls from Richmond Park and North Kingston MP Zac Goldsmith and Conservative councillor Paul Hodgins.
On Wednesday 27th February, Zac Goldsmith MP’s Heathrow Public Meeting, hosted at Duke Street Church in Richmond, provided residents of Richmond and North Kingston with the opportunity to have their say on Heathrow Airport’s current consultation.
The Suffolk Road Recreation Ground, better known as the dog park, is currently undergoing a make-over. An enclosed, accessible playground made from natural materials is being constructed in one corner of the space and is due to open soon.
Zac Goldsmith MP has welcomed new investment from the Conservative Government, spearheaded by Communities Secretary James Brokenshire, to help the constituency support rough sleepers into safe and stable accommodation where they can rebuild their lives.
