Residents in Barnes, Richmond and across South West London were shocked last night when the Hammersmith & Fulham Council abruptly and without warning shut Hammersmith Bridge indefinitely when ‘critical faults’ were discovered.
Barnes railway station, which is used by thousands of commuters every day, will be made step-free after the Government agreed to fund its upgrade following lobbying by Richmond Park and North Kingston MP Zac Goldsmith.
Zac Goldsmith MP cut the ribbon to mark the official opening of CuraCare’s new East Sheen branch on Wednesday 3rd April at a Chamber organised event. He said “It is always wonderful as an MP to be able to welcome new businesses and employees to the area.
On Monday 1st April, Zac Goldsmith MP visited Darell Primary School to discuss the merits of Space Exploration with year 5 pupils. The pupils had taken the time to write individual letters to their local MP, to express their own views on the issue.
Zac Goldsmith MP visited Barnes Primary school on the 18th of March to discuss climate change following the UK Students Climate Networks recent children's protest at Trafalgar Square, where a record number of pupils went on strike to protest against climate change on Friday 16th March
Zac Goldsmith MP visited the Swedish School in Barnes on Wednesday 13th March where he met with pupils from year three and year five with their teacher Marika Nilsson. Zac spoke to the students about current affairs and his recent environmental successes on ocean protection.
The Department for Education has announced its approval for a new free school in Barnes for children with special educational needs, following calls from Richmond Park and North Kingston MP Zac Goldsmith and Conservative councillor Paul Hodgins.
