Supporting Our High Streets and Local Businesses

Our economy is thriving and, locally, we we have one of the highest job creation rates in the UK. I will continue to do all I can to make sure that Richmond and Kingston are the best areas of London for new businesses to invest and for existing businesses to flourish. Our distinctive high streets are part of what makes our area special, but they are facing real pressures and they need our support. I successfully campaigned for free 30 minutes parking to help our local shops and I will continue to champion our high streets.

Zac Goldsmith MP Launches his High Street Survey

In response to discussions with local business and residents, Zac Goldsmith is undertaking a constituency wide survey of shoppers and local high street users’ local priorities.  Zac will be gathering his constituents’ views in the run up to small business Saturday, on the 1st of December 2018.

Zac Visits Richmond’s May Fair

Zac attended the May Fair on Richmond Green on the 12th May with local Councillor Pamela Fleming.  Zac spoke to many of the 145 stall holders, including the Police stand, The Vineyard Community Centre, the Virginia Woolf Statue and the Richmond Society.

 

 

Zac Judges Canbury Bake Off for Macmillan Cancer Research

Zac Goldsmith was invited to be a judge at the highly successful Canbury Bake Off at the Canbury Arms, alongside fellow judges Angelica Bell (Broadcaster and Winner of Celebrity Master Chef), Andrew Clarke (Broadcaster and Producer of Saturday Kitchen) and the Mayor of Kingston, Julie Pickering.

Zac submits Petition to Nat West

Zac Goldsmith arranged to meet NatWest and the Barnes Community Association in Parliament on the 12th Jauary 2018 to hand them a petition demanding that they retain both the East Sheen Branch and Barnes Branch of NatWest.
