Zac Goldsmith MP was at Barnes Primary School to help give a send off to the 30 parents who are cycling 200 miles from the school to Paris. Headteacher Mark Hartley is among the riders.

The event has already raised considerable funds both for the School and for Richmond charity Me Too & Co,  which provides activities and therapies for children with disabilities and additional needs.

Zac Goldsmith said: “It was wonderful to be there to help send them off on a journey that has already raised huge sums for charity. The event was made even more special by the fact that Mark Hartley has been awarded a well-deserved MBE for his services to local education.”
